Job Title: Tax Manager/Supervisor (CPA needed)

Location: Hybrid and flexible schedule, office in southeast Baton Rouge, LA

Salary: $95k-$145k (DOE) + bonus and benefits

We are now seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager or Supervisor to help oversee our tax department in Baton Rouge. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing tax compliance, planning, and strategy for our clients, ensuring adherence to tax regulations while providing exceptional service and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and review tax compliance for individuals and businesses to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.

Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Conduct tax research and analysis to provide clients with informed advice on tax planning and strategy.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on tax-related matters.

Identify opportunities for business development and assist in the growth of the tax practice.

Prepare and present tax-related findings to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding of complex tax issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree or advanced certification is a plus.

CPA certification is preferred, or EA, or CPA candidate working towards licensure.

4+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.

Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance procedures.

Proven experience in managing and supervising a team.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client relations.
