Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of a range of patients with injuries and illnesses, and preventive care. Review patient history, examine the patient for symptoms or physical information, order necessary tests, analyze findings, administer or prescribe treatment and determine and prescribe any necessary medication and/or refer to patient to a specialist. Diagnose and treat disorders. Examine patients and order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine the best course of treatment. Counsel patients, prescribe medication, order laboratory tests, order imaging, and conduct examinations.

Completion of a 3-year residency in the field of Internal or Family Medicine.

North Carolina medical license.

Medical degree (in Medicine) or foreign equivalent.
