The Patient Revenue Cycle Coordinator 2 plays a critical role in ensuring seamless patient care by managing all aspects of the referral and scheduling process. This position serves as a key liaison between patients, referring providers, and clinical teams, ensuring timely and accurate coordination of services while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities Include:
Manages incoming and outgoing patient referrals
Tracks all incoming and outgoing referrals
Determines patient scheduling needs
Creates of patient account and documentation of incoming referrals (pre-registration/registration)
Schedules internal and external appointments
Effectively communicate with patients and referring offices
Answers incoming calls
Makes outgoing calls to referrals and return phone messages
Answers questions and provide referral information to patients in calls/in person pertaining to referrals.
Coordinates daily clinic activities
Greets patients
Checks in/out patients and schedules patient appointments
Accurate completion of pre-registration and registration
Enters patient demographics and insurance information accurately and in a timely fashion into electronic health record (EPIC)
Ensures patient insurance information is gathered including any changes to insurance to support clinical and financial needs, notifies doctors and/or assistants that patient has arrived using electronic health record system
Distributes parking passes to patients and logs parking pass number on master schedule
Provides excellent customer service to patients and customers
Serves as primary point of contact for patients, residents, faculty, and student clinics.

Physical Requirements:
Sitting/standing at a computer the entire shift.
Experience and Education:
Required: High school diploma/GED.
Desired:
One to four years of front desk experience in a dental or medical office
Experience with using an electronic health record software, specifically IHIS/EPIC (Integrated Healthcare Information System)
Have strong computer skills using different software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, able to provide excellent customer service and
Able to carry out written and oral instructions, cooperate with co-workers, knowledge of customer service skills with the ability to apply them including the ability to answer routine inquires and resolve complaints from patients, doctors, and staff.
