Position Summary

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Web Designer to design and develop engaging, user-friendly websites and digital interfaces. The ideal candidate will combine artistic vision with technical expertise to create compelling web experiences that align with business objectives and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

Create visually appealing and functional website designs from concept to completion

Develop responsive web designs that work seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

Design user interfaces (UI) and optimize user experience (UX) for maximum usability

Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using industry-standard design tools

Collaborate with development teams to ensure design feasibility and proper implementation

Technical Skills

Code clean, semantic HTML5 and CSS3 markup

Implement responsive design using CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, etc.)

Work with JavaScript and jQuery for interactive elements

Optimize websites for search engines (SEO best practices)

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility standards (WCAG)

Manage website performance and loading speed optimization

Collaboration & Project Management

Work closely with project managers, developers, and clients to understand requirements

Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders

Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs efficiently

Maintain design consistency across all digital touchpoints

Document design systems and style guides for team reference

Quality Assurance

Test websites across different browsers, devices, and operating systems

Conduct usability testing and implement improvements based on findings

Ensure all designs meet company standards and client specifications

Stay updated with current web design trends and best practices

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related field

3+ years of professional web design experience

Portfolio demonstrating strong design skills and technical capabilities

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Figma)

Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

Experience with responsive design frameworks

Familiarity with content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.)

Understanding of SEO principles and web analytics

Knowledge of version control systems (Git)

Soft Skills

Strong visual design skills with attention to detail
