The Employee Relations Manager/Associate Manager will help assist and promote the Employee Relations investigation function at Tesla.
The successful candidate will train and oversee the work of assigned investigators by providing guidance and assistance through the investigation process, conduct complex workplace investigations, and analyze trends to help create proactive programs to help sustain a positive employee culture.
* Management of Employee Relations partners in providing direction and guidance, assigning tasks, prioritizing activities, and setting goals within the team to ensure alignment with organizational objectives * Maintain a positive, productive work environment by responding to questions and concerns, proactively addressing issues, and advising the team on best practices to foster a supportive workplace culture * Conduct a range of employee relations investigations in response to concerns such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Partner with Legal team in conducting legal directed investigations and HR leaders to provide counsel and facilitate prompt and effective resolution of workplace concerns * Demonstrate the ability to analyze and understand data and information quickly with good attention to detail, and work in a high-volume, fast-paced, dynamic environment with the capacity to adapt to changing priorities * Drive consistency in employee relations issues, ensuring the organization's approach to investigations is thorough, fair, and consistent across all cases * Create and update policies and procedures related to employee relations, conduct trainings on compliance, analyze trends with Leadership, and advise on proactive strategies, solutions, programs, and policies to enhance workplace practices * Develop effective relationships with HR Business Partners and Legal to promote positive employee relations throughout the organization for high employee satisfaction and engagement, and participate in projects led by Employee Relations, HR, and Legal teams as needed * Bachelor's Degree in Human Relations, Law, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in employee relations, investigations, or disciplinary actions * Relevant management-related experience to effectively lead and guide teams * In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and statutes governing employment policies and practices.
Experience in EMEA preferred * Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices, and standards * Experience in successfully implementing programs across geographically distributed teams * Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas * Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills as an articulate and persuasive communicator, with the ability to objectively coach through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
