Overview of PCA

Moelis Private Capital Advisory (“PCA”) is a global business that provides strategic advisory and distribution to private fund sponsors including secondary market advisory, primary fundraising and tailored capital raise solutions. Combined with the Firm’s leading financial sponsor franchise, sector expertise and M&A capabilities, PCA delivers a range of strategic, customized solutions to clients across a wide range of strategies, including buyout, credit growth, real assets, special situations and sector specific strategies.

The Secondary Market Advisory team at Moelis & Company is global team focused on advising financial sponsors on a wide range of strategic liquidity solutions across the private capital universe. The team works closely with industry and product groups across Moelis to provide relevant market insight, structuring advice, and best-in-class execution to clients. As a member of the team, successful candidates will be responsible for providing advisory, structuring, and execution services to sponsors with investments across the private capital universe.

Position Description:

We are seeking a Vice President to join our London Private Capital Advisory team. This individual will play a leadership role in transaction execution, investor coverage, and client advisory. The position offers exposure to GP-led secondary solutions and requires an entrepreneurial, client-focused professional with strong execution skills and proven investor relationships.

Responsibilities:

The Vice President will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Transaction Execution

Lead transaction workstreams across GP-led secondary solutions (e.g., single- and multi-asset continuation vehicles, tender offers, preferred equity, NAV loans, GP stakes).

Oversee due diligence, financial modelling, and preparation of marketing and transaction materials, ensuring high-quality output.

Manage and mentor junior professionals, providing guidance and fostering development.

Act as a primary contact for clients throughout live processes, delivering structuring advice and market insights.

Manage buy-side investor outreach and due diligence processes, including sponsor and management team meetings, on-site visits, and data room reviews.

Investor Coverage

Build and maintain senior-level relationships with secondaries investors, including FoFs asset managers, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance firms.

Contribute to thought leadership through market research, insights, and the preparation of investor-facing materials.

Prepare tailored marketing materials, including presentations, offering memoranda, pitch books, and thought leadership pieces.

Client Advisory & Relationship Management

Advise sponsors on strategic liquidity solutions, leveraging Moelis’ global sponsor platform and expertise.

Partner with senior colleagues on origination by identifying new sponsor opportunities and supporting tailored fundraising and liquidity solutions.

Drive client interactions independently or alongside senior team members, preparing and delivering compelling presentations.

Create opportunities to initiate new partnerships aligned with the group’s strategic goals.

Qualifications and Experience

Significant experience in private equity, secondary advisory, fundraising, or a closely related field.

Deep knowledge of private capital markets and investor dynamics; proven ability to advise sponsors.

Established network of relationships with sponsors.

Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing deal processes and mentoring junior professionals.

Commercial acumen, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to originate and execute transactions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders.

Strong technical foundation; ability to critically review complex financial analyses and transaction structures.
