Job Title: Senior Project Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from inception to completion.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive results across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities + Define and communicate project strategy, budget, goals, and expectations.
+ Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.
+ Ensure consistent execution of company standards and best practices across projects.
+ Establish and monitor individual and team performance metrics.
+ Act as a key liaison between field operations, clients, and executive leadership.
+ Analyze project specifications to develop comprehensive plans, schedules, and staffing models.
+ Oversee procurement of subcontractors, tools, equipment, and materials.
+ Direct and coordinate field supervisors and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality execution.
+ Resolve workforce issues and maintain positive labor relations.
+ Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and timelines.
+ Monitor project progress, costs, and material usage; adjust schedules and resources as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
+ Prepare and analyze job cost reports; identify and address cost variances.
+ Manage project billing, collections, and financial reporting.
+ Assemble and submit shop drawings, submittals, and final project documentation.
+ Lead progress meetings and coordinate with field teams and stakeholders.
+ Document project delays, conflicts, and initiate change orders.
+ Oversee final closeout procedures including warranties, manuals, lien waivers, and client handover.
Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in construction project management.
+ Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale or multi-phase projects.
+ Valid driver's license required.
+ Advanced ability to read and interpret technical documents.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and client presentations.
+ Proficient in preparing detailed reports, correspondence, and project documentation.
+ Skilled in solving complex problems and managing dynamic project variables.
+ Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including cost analysis and forecasting.
+ Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage subcontractor relationships effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications + State HVAC/Plumbing license is a plus.
+ Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
+ Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
+ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
+ Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
+ Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Work Environment The work environment is split between office handling administrative duties and frequent site visits to monitor progress and communicate with Owners, Architects, and Clients.
This role requires a balance between strategic office work and hands-on field management to ensure project success.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wendell, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
