Masonic Medical Research Institute (MMRI) is seeking a full-time PUBLIC RELATIONS / EVENTS COORDINATOR to join our team. MMRI is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for all humankind.
Job Summary:
The Public Relations / Events Coordinator will assist with planning, development and implementation of initiatives related to and supporting the Institution's public relations, communications and marketing plans.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Proofread and edit a variety of communications.
Create and update content for a variety of digital platforms.
Take and edit photos and video.
Coordinate production of printed pieces, advertisements and other publicity materials and marketing collateral.
Assist with social media marketing and communications initiatives and event planning and promotion.
Requirements
1-3 years of related experience required.
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field required.
Excellent public speaking skills.
Excellent communication, proofreading, and editing skills required.
Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and work independently.
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with media contacts and outlets.
Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
Creative and effective problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
