Environmental Services Director

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Director to oversee the housekeeping, laundry, and sanitation operations in our Skilled Nursing Facility located in New York. This leadership role is critical to ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and manage all environmental services, including housekeeping and laundry operations.

Train, schedule, and supervise environmental services staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

Develop and implement cleaning protocols in compliance with state, federal, and DOH regulations.

Partner with Nursing and Administration to maintain a safe, resident-centered environment.

Monitor and order supplies, manage departmental budget, and ensure cost-effective practices.

Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to infection control guidelines.

Lead staff development, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary.

Qualifications

Previous Environmental Services Director or Manager experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, hospital, or healthcare setting required.

Strong knowledge of infection prevention, sanitation standards, and DOH regulations.

Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

Experience managing departmental budgets and supply ordering.
