Under general supervision, provides stocking, material handling, inventory procurement, and inventory tracking.
Services include receiving, packaging loads, requisitioning, stocking, and delivering or preparing materials and equipment to various areas of KANA in an accurate and timely manner by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

* Assists departments with clerical and administrative duties, as well as special projects, as assigned.
* Assists internal and external customers.
Partners with vendors, transportation carriers, and community representatives regarding shipment of materials and equipment.
* Orders, restocks, receives, prepares, and transports supplies, and equipment to all areas of assigned responsibility.
Requesting purchase orders check advices or P-Card reconciliations and obtaining appropriate authorizations as needed.
* Verifies the content, quantity, and condition of materials; maintains documentation of materials and equipment.
Verifies purchase orders with packing slips and actual freight received; checking carefully for discrepancies.
Completes and forwards paperwork to proper departments and/or parties.
* * Determines the most efficient and cost-effective method of packaging and shipping supplies and equipment.
Crates or packages shipment loads and delivers to transportation air mail carrier.
Works to maximize efficiency by considering routing and timing of transports.
* Processes daily business mail dispersing to appropriate buildings and uses postage meter and scale as needed.
* Deliver and receive deliveries (i.e.
UPS, FedEx, USPS, Gold Streak, etc.) as appropriate.
* Ensures punctual scheduling for pickup and shipment of materials and equipment at destinations as needed; follow up and track shipments of products to ensure timely delivery to destination.
* Complies with proper shipping procedures according to mode of transportation and prepares proper shipping documents.
Assures the safety and security of the work environment and items shipped.
* Performs routine custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment; ensuring damaged or expired items are disposed of properly.
Maintaining professional appearance of workspaces, conference rooms, and public spaces.
* Searches inventory records or warehouse and storage to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity.
* Generates, tracks, and delivers supplies and packages to various internal departments and other locations utilizing appropriate signature technologies as appropriate for Materials Management.
* Maintains a clean and organized work vehicle.
* Completes purchase order process.
Reconciles P-Card in timely manner, ensuring all appropriate documentation is submitted to finance.
* Confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries.
* Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates with needs of Association.
* Provides backup coverage for the Health Courier as needed.
* Greet visitors, staff, and others in a professional courteous manner, and direct visitors as appropriate.
* Supports and participates in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of services provided by KANA.
* Assists with special projects and events.
* Performs related duties as required.
* Responds to all requests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.
* Adheres to KANA's time and attendance policy.
* Completes training for packaging and shipping of dangerous goods, courier-specific bloodborne pathogens, exposure control, specimen integrity, and HIPAA to meet the U.S.
