Float Requirement: Yes – Will float to PICU and CVICU as needed
Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced and adaptable NICU Registered Nurse (Level IV) to provide high-quality care in a high-acuity neonatal intensive care setting. The RN will work in a Level III or IV NICU and must be willing to float to Pediatric ICU (PICU) and Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) units when required.
This role is located at a major pediatric healthcare campus in Phoenix, AZ. The facility emphasizes collaborative care, family-centered support, and advanced neonatal interventions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level III/IV NICU setting
Monitor and manage life-support equipment, IVs, incubators, and ventilators
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for neonates with complex medical needs
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other nurses
Educate and support families of patients, including communication of clinical updates and guidance on care practices
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with unit protocols and hospital policies
Float to PICU and CVICU units as needed, providing adaptable, high-quality care in those environments
Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient privacy regulations
Maintain required certifications and complete all hospital-mandated training
Follow masking protocol and any additional infection prevention requirements during respiratory illness season
