Schedule: Day Shift - 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM - 3 days per week (36 guaranteed hours)

Night Shift - 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM - 3 days per week (36 guaranteed hours)

*36 Guaranteed Hours per Week Unpaid Meal Break 0 Mins

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Intermediate Care Unit in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive nursing care to medically complex patients who require close monitoring but do not need intensive care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for IMCU patients.

Administer medications, IVs, and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols.

Monitor patients' responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as needed.

Provide clear communication and direction to interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.

Recognize and respond to medical emergencies using advanced critical thinking.

Document all care activities accurately within required timeframes.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment conducive to recovery.

Assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff and nursing students.

Actively participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.

Active RN license in the State of Wisconsin.

Current BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire).

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Physical and cognitive ability to safely operate patient care equipment.

Entry-level applicants welcome; relevant clinical rotations preferred.

ACLS Certification (preferred but not required)
