What you’ll be doing:
Managing and delivering small project(s) or large work packages within a project across the lifecycle; from campaigns to new business proposals, product design & development to production, bidding for follow-on contracts to in-service support
Supporting in the development and maintenance the project plan and interdependencies with the team and key stakeholders
Pro-actively manage the risks and opportunities for your project or work package, working with your teams to identify and close out mitigation and promotion plans in a timely manner
Developing reports on the performance of your project or work package and frequently present to the project leadership
Collaborating with various stakeholders to drive effective problem solving
Building strong relationships internally and externally, including your team members, the suppliers and our customer
Some travel may be required to various sites and globally on an ad-hoc basis
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Project management experience in a product based or engineering environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Competent in applying problem-solving techniques
Proficient in data gathering and analysis
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
Desirable:
APMQ or similar project management qualification
Project management experience in the Aerospace or Defence industry

The Electronic Systems team:
The Electronic Systems team is responsible for extremely complex and innovative projects, we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Assistant Project Manager. You will assist the Project Manager with day-to-day management activities in order to meet the project's time, cost, and quality goals.
The Electronic Systems (ES) sector spans the commercial and defence electronics markets with a broad portfolio of mission-critical electronic systems, including flight and engine controls; electronic warfare and night vision systems; surveillance and reconnaissance sensors; secure networked communications equipment; geospatial imagery intelligence products and systems; mission management; and power-and energy-management systems.
