**Job Title: Shipping Associate**

Job Description

The Shipping Associate plays a critical role in the outbound logistics operations of an automotive manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for preparing, verifying, and coordinating the shipment of automotive parts, components, and finished vehicles to customers, dealerships, and distribution centers. The associate ensures timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare and package automotive parts and materials for shipment according to company and customer specifications.

+ Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.

+ Verify outgoing shipments against shipping documents and resolve discrepancies.

+ Maintain accurate records of shipments, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping logs.

+ Collaborate with production and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of products for shipment.

+ Inspect outgoing goods for damage and report any issues to the supervisor.

+ Operate within safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized shipping area.

+ Use shipping software and ERP systems to track and manage shipments.

+ Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.

Essential Skills

+ High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in logistics or warehousing preferred.

+ 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

+ Familiarity with automotive parts and packaging standards is a plus.

+ Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or shipping software.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in picking and receiving.

+ Warehouse experience.

+ 1-2 years of experience in a shipping role.

+ 1-2 years of forklift experience.

+ 1-2 years of computer experience in inventory control and warehouse inventory.

Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures. The facility is non-climate controlled, but the temperature is generally comfortable. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, Ohio.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
