What You'll Do

As our Internal Auditor, you'll:

Conduct audits that evaluate financial processes, internal controls, and compliance.

Provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and strengthen accountability.

Collaborate with county leadership, sharing insights through reports and presentations.

Stay current on auditing standards and best practices while shaping county policies.

Play a trusted role in protecting public resources and ensuring good stewardship.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or related field (preferred), plus 2+ years in auditing or financial analysis-or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, GASB, and government accounting practices.

Skills: Analytical thinker with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Certifications: CPA, CCFO, CIA, or CGAP preferred (or working toward certification).
