This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

12-hour night shifts; 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Must be available to work 2 of 3 winter holidays.

Job Description

This position involves working with a diverse patient population, including medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neuro patients, and CVA patients. As a part of a teaching hospital, you will regularly engage with students and new hires, contributing to a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to IMU patients.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate patient needs and outcomes.

Participate in patient education and support initiatives.

Assist in the training and mentoring of nursing students and new staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Active Virginia or Compact License at the time of submission.

Charge experience preferred.

Cerner experience preferred.

All requested time off must be included at the time of submission.

Ability to accept approved declinations for Covid and Flu vaccinations.
