`Position: ORACLE/DATABASE Administrator Location: Iselin, New Jersey/Charlotte, NC/Chandler AZ (Hybrid) Duration: Contract Job ID: 170356 Pay Range: $50-$54 Job Overview: In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Systems Operations Engineering.
You will contribute to large-scale planning related to Systems Operations Engineering deliverables, review and analyze challenges requiring in-depth evaluation, and collaborate with client personnel to meet deliverables while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities: * Manage and maintain Oracle databases.
* Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
* Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
* Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for database-related incidents and implement long-term solutions.
* Automate database maintenance tasks using PL/SQL, Shell scripting, and Ansible.
* Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness (SOX, PCI, HIPAA). * Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and security teams to support business initiatives.
* Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and enterprise backup tools.
* Monitor database health using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Prometheus, or custom dashboards.
* Maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.
Qualifications: * 7+ years of Oracle Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
* Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
* Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning techniques.
* Experience with Linux/Unix environments and Shell scripting.
* Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
* Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage integration and backup/recovery strategies.
* Experience with monitoring tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, Prometheus, or similar.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
* Proven leadership in incident management and change control processes.
