Job Description
As the Accounting & Business Operations Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our operations and accounting teams. This internship offers exposure to various facets of business operations, including accounting tasks, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The primary duties for the role are accurate counting and reconciling of daily cash flows, time reporting validation and adjustments, audits, and reporting.
Responsibilities
The following responsibilities will be expected for this position:
Perform daily cash reconciliations
Create daily bank deposits and change orders
Develop and generate reports from EVO and other web-based systems
Accumulate and enter data into excel spreadsheets for daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Perform general reconciliations on various business processes (i.e. gift cards, fuel sales)
Analyze and report on discounts and refunds
Assist with ad-hoc inventory checks and inventory clean-up
Perform general filing
Assist with statement generation and mailing
Assist in Mau Marine special events as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Applicants must possess the following qualifications and skills:
Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or a related field
Basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred
Ability to maintain accurate records
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Detail-oriented and multi-tasking skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel
Maintains regular and punctual attendance. Works extended hours, outside of regular shift schedule, as required by operational needs
