This Full Time Charge Entry Billing Specialist position is in a busy billing office in Ashland. Seeking a motivated and compassionate Charge Entry Billing Specialist to join our dedicated team. We are looking for an individual who brings a positive attitude, is a proactive self-starter, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position requires flexibility, strong multitasking abilities, and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear, professional communication.

Hours of the position: 40 hours a week, schedule can be either 7-3:30 or 7:30-4pm

Expectations:

Primary responsibility is to ensure the accuracy of medical billing and coding, as well as to manage accounts receivable and claims processing.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of medical terminology, billing codes, and revenue cycle management.

Responsible for accurately entering and verifying patient treatment codes, maintaining records, and assisting with billing inquiries.

Maintain high levels of accuracy under pressure

Must Have:

Strong computer skills

Medical coding experience

Epic experience

Cpt, I-10 Coding experience

Requirements

Reviewing patient medical records and bills to ensure accuracy

Entering patient treatment codes into billing software

Processing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies

Following up on rejected or denied claims

Communicating with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing issues

Assisting with patient inquiries about billing and insurance

Maintaining confidentiality of patient data according to HIPAA guidelines
