Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: 2+ years of recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience is required.

License: VA RN License/Compact License

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have: Recent experience/competency in VV/VA ECMO, IABP, TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, PA Catheter Guided Therapy.

Description:

Must have worked in a dedicated CVICU/CICU.

Strong experience with all advanced therapy modalities is required.

Must be able to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips.

Must manage and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips.

Common types of patients/diagnoses include post-op CABG, heart and lung transplant, cardiogenic shock, advanced HF management, cardiac arrhythmia, lysis, post IR/PCI procedures, and TEVAR.

Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.

Holidays: 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's).

Holiday coverage includes the day before, day of, and day after the listed holidays.

Will primarily float between CICU and CVICU but may also need to float to other ICUs as needed.

There are 24 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 in CVICU and 1:3 in stepdown units.

EMR system used is Epic.

Scrub colors: Navy blue pants and solid navy-blue tops or solid white jackets.

Floor orientation consists of 2 shifts.
