Essential Responsibilities
The Guest Services Representative will routinely engage in and support the customer service operation at the George W. Bush Presidential Museum. Requiring the highest levels of customer service, professionalism, and discretion, this position will serve as the first point of contact for guests visiting the Bush Museum. Specific responsibilities for this position include:
Greet visitors and provide general information in a friendly and inviting manner regarding membership programs, exhibits and/or operations in person, telephone and/or email.
Collect fees for admission to the museum, process credit card transactions, and print and distribute admissions tickets for regular admissions, guided tours, public programs and school groups.
Assist with growing the George W. Bush Presidential Museum's audience and membership program at the museum.
Efficiently and accurately open and close registers; prepare accurate till reports.
Assist with answering guest services email inquiries as needed.
Stock and distribute printed materials for guest use, including brochures, maps, and other promotional materials and merchandise.
Ability to work the Saturday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm) and Sunday (12:00 pm - 5:00 pm) shift.
Complete other tasks and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The qualified candidate will possess (a/an):
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and writing skills in dealing with visitors and staff of all levels. One year of customer service experience preferred.
Technical skills related to operating computers and related business machines and software.
Commitment to the mission and vision of the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will:
Maintain a neat, professional appearance and a warm, engaging demeanor.
Be able to maintain regular, dependable attendance in the building.
Demonstrate the ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and occasional evenings.
