Summary
The Traveling Site Superintendent plays a critical role in the successful execution of construction projects, acting as the on-site leader responsible for coordinating subcontractors, managing procurement logistics, and ensuring that construction aligns with the design intent and project goals. This role requires a detail-oriented, highly organized, and urgency driven professional with a deep understanding of commercial construction methods and divisions. This role works closely with the Project Manager and internal teams to maintain momentum and quality throughout the build.
Your Knowledge and Skills
Detail oriented with a commitment to precision and quality
High level of urgency and ability to drive results under tight timelines
Adaptable and capable of fully executing the Infinity Group process from mobilization throughout closeout
Experience in high-end residential or design-driven commercial projects
OSHA certification or equivalent safety training
Familiarity with sustainable construction practices
5+ years of experience in construction supervision or site management
Full understanding of commercial construction divisions
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building systems
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate complex field operations
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and procedures
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong computer literacy skills and adaptability to new software/programs
Your Responsibilities
Construction Coordination
Participate in weekly OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings, ensuring clear communication between field operations and project stakeholders.
Manage on-site procurement logistics, including delivery schedules, material handling, and inventory tracking.
Review and interpret construction drawings, ensuring field execution aligns with design documents and specifications.
Participate in Lock Away Meetings to confirm readiness for mobilization, including scope verification and procurement completion.
Field Oversight
Serve as the primary on-site representative, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and safely.
Lead and manage weekly on site subcontractor meetings reviewing 3 week look ahead schedules and discussing any potential delays.
Monitor subcontractor performance, quality of work, and adherence to schedule.
Identify and resolve field issues in real-time, escalating to the Project Manager as needed.
Complete daily/weekly non-negotiables such as, but not limited to daily photos, reports, weekly trade meetings and safety requirements.
Collaboration & Communication
Provide input and feedback on project task updates, offering field-level insights to support project planning and reporting.
Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Travel Requirements
The Traveling Site Superintendent is required to be on the project site for the full duration of the project, serving as the primary on-site representative responsible for daily operations.
Must be available to open and close the site for trade partners in alignment with the construction schedule and evolving project health.
Required to attend two (2) quarterly Town Hall meetings in Hartford, CT.
Additional travel may be assigned to support other projects, company initiatives, or operational needs as determined by leadership.
