\nA starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and Montgomery Personal Board Rules & Regulations \n Nature of Work The fundamental reason this\nposition exists is to administer, plan, manage and oversee the Emergency\nCommunications Center (ECC) Quality Assurance and Improvement Program.
The work\nresponsibilities include managing the quality assurance program, supporting ECC\nManagement in reviewing and evaluating work production quality and ensuring\nadherence to Federal, State and local standards.
The incumbent provides timely\nfeedback through standardized written reports to Training and Operational\nDivision staff to correct and eliminate quality issues that result from\ninappropriate guidelines, equipment limitations, deficient training, or human\nerror.
This position reports to the Training Manager.\n Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED,\nand four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in E911 computer aided\ndispatch systems (CAD) and radio systems performing Public Safety Emergency Communications\nEmergency Medical Dispatch (EMD), Emergency Fire Dispatch (MFD), and Emergency Police\nDispatch (EPD), through the Association of Public-Safety Communications\nOfficials (APCO) and/or International Emergency Academies Dispatch\n(IAED)/Priority Dispatch.\n\n\ education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.\n Special Requirements Must be willing to work\nnights, weekends, and holidays, and willing to be on-call to respond to various\nemergencies.
Must be certified and maintain certification in all, but not limited\nto, International Academies Emergency Dispatch courses: Emergency Telecommunicator\nCourse (ETC), Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD), Emergency Fire Dispatch (EFD),\nEmergency Police Dispatch (EPD), Emergency Fire Dispatch-Quality (EFD-Q), Emergency\nPolice Dispatch-Quality (EPD-Q), Emergency Medical Dispatch-Quality (EMD-Q),\nALEA NCIC, and CPR within six (6) months of hire if not already obtained.
