What you will be doing As our CAD Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in configuration, customization and optimization of our Autodesk Inventor, Vault and PLM environments.
You will develop automation scripts, define global settings, and promote best practices.
In this role, you will * Build and maintain custom automation tools and scripts for Inventor, Vault, and PLM * Configure system-wide settings, security policies, and deployment processes * Serve as the primary technical liaison with Autodesk for system enhancements * Lead hands-on training sessions and workshops on advanced CAD workflows * Drive the evolution of our CAD handbook and technical documentation * Analyze existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement optimization strategies * Collaborate with support and product-focused administrators to ensure knowledge sharing and backup coverage What you bring We are looking for a candidate who combines technical depth with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in CAD administration or applications engineering.
* Proven expertise in Autodesk Inventor and Vault configuration.
* Proficiency in scripting languages (VBA, Python, PowerShell) and API integrations.
* Experience with CAD application deployment and lifecycle management tools.
* Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to mentor peers and deliver training.
