Work Schedule: As needed, shifts will depend on college needs and instructor availability. Morning, days, evening and weekend shifts available and needed.

Job Description:

SUMMARY

Provide instruction of non-creditrecreational courses offered through the Athletics, Wellness & CommunityRecreation Department.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

Responsible for providing instruction to students and community members

Responsible for developing and presenting the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is

structured to accommodate all fitness levels

Responsible for setting up and cleaning up after each class

Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience

Required CPR/first aid certifications

Ability to read, understand, and enforce safety procedures

Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of the class

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES

Possess basic knowledge of fundamental subject area concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to apply in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population
