The Emergency Department Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical skills, and communication skills in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families. This role involves assessing patient needs, identifying urgent care priorities, and collaboratively providing direct care while applying appropriate interventions. Responsibilities

Conduct initial assessments of patients during triage, prioritizing care based on established standards.

Utilize observational skills and patient interviews to assess critical needs across all age groups.

Document necessary health history and events leading to the emergency situation, while addressing psychosocial needs.

Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments, making appropriate referrals for post-emergency care.

Educate patients and families on post-care instructions, ensuring understanding of key points through structured learning sessions.

Maintain open communication with patients and families, keeping them informed throughout their emergency care experience.

Collaborate with team members to foster a supportive environment focused on optimal patient outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required.

New York State RN licensure required.

Minimum of one year of acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse, preferably in the Emergency Department. Why ARMStaffing?
