The Engineering Storeroom Clerk supports the Engineering Department by managing the storeroom, tools, and supplies, ensuring accuracy of inventory records, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers. This role combines technical knowledge of engineering tools and equipment with administrative and computer skills to maintain efficient operations.
What will I be doing?
This position requires both technical knowledge and organizational skills to support the daily needs of the engineering team.
Receive, verify, and organize deliveries of engineering tools, parts, and supplies.
Maintain accurate inventory records in Excel and Engineering Software.
Issue and track tools, parts, and supplies to Engineering Team Members.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and quotations.
Conduct routine stock checks and cycle counts, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
Ensure compliance with hotel safety, security, and environmental guidelines.
Support Engineering leadership with reporting, purchase requests, and budget tracking.
Keep storeroom and engineering areas organized, clean, and secure.
Provide technical support with storeroom-related systems and digital records.
Drive the company pickup truck to collect and deliver materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors or local stores as needed.
In addition to the core responsibilities, the Engineering Storeroom Clerk provides support in related areas that ensure efficiency and smooth operations within the Engineering Department.
- Assist in preventive maintenance scheduling by ensuring required parts are available.
- Update and maintain vendor contact list and supplier database.
- Coordinate with Finance and Purchasing to reconcile invoices with deliveries.
- Participate in sustainability initiatives by monitoring energy-related supplies and recycling processes.
- Perform other duties or projects assigned by the Engineering leadership team.
