Job Description

Assistant Equipment Supervisor, OSU Golf Course primarily assists the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. This includes repairs, preventive maintenance and record keeping for all equipment operated by the golf course maintenance staff as assigned by Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. Also performs golf course maintenance activities under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent.

Minimum Education Required

Per Classified Civil Svc Specs or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications

One year experience adjusting reel to bed knife quality of cut, height of cut adjusting, and repair and rebuilding of reel mowers. Knowledge and one year experience of sharpening reel mowers on reel grinder. Knowledge and one year experience of sharpening bed knives on bed knife grinder. Knowledge and one year experience maintaining turf sprayer with Raven electronic control system or similar system with GPS capabilities. One year experience mowing greens and maintaining Jacobsen hybrid triplex greens mowers. One year experience mowing fairways with, and maintaining Jacobsen LF550 or similar mowers. One year experience mowing tee boxes and maintaining Toro triplex or similar mowers. One year experience aerating putting greens and maintaining Toro ProCore 648 aerators or similar equipment
