Role Overview

A reputed industrial fabrication unit is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead its Fabrication Shop operations. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving high-precision fabrication processes, managing large teams and ensuring timely delivery of heavy engineering components.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end operations of the fabrication shop, including welding, machining and assembly

Lead a team of supervisors, engineers and skilled technicians to meet production targets

Interpret complex fabrication drawings and ensure accurate execution on the shop floor

Implement and monitor quality control systems and safety protocols

Coordinate with design, planning and procurement teams for seamless workflow

Optimize resource allocation and reduce operational bottlenecks

Resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost-effective production strategies

Report KPIs and operational metrics to senior management

Candidate Profile

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production or Fabrication Engineering

12 - 15+ years of hands-on experience in heavy fabrication and shop-floor leadership

Strong technical knowledge of welding processes, fabrication techniques and industrial machinery

Proven ability to manage large teams and complex fabrication projects

Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
