Job Title: Cash Applications Specialist

Salary: $45,000 to $50,000, DOE

Position Summary

The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely application of incoming payments to customer accounts. This role does not include collections or billing responsibilities. The position also provides backup support for Accounts Payable and assists with Concur expense system administration.

Key Responsibilities

Apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts using ERP systems

Reconcile bank deposits, lockbox transactions, and electronic payments

Investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper account allocations

Maintain thorough documentation of all cash application activities

Assist with invoice entry and vendor payment processing

Help maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with payment terms

Provide user support for Concur expense reporting system

Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in cash applications or related accounting role

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

Experience with Concur or similar expense management platforms preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
