Manager, Material Quality Management

Job Title: Preconstruction Manager – Commercial Construction Location: Perks & Benefits: 60% employer-paid medical & dental, RSP matching, 3 weeks vacation This organization has been operating in Winnipeg for about 5 decades with over 1000 projects completed across Design Build, CM and Lump Sum delivery types for Commercial, Light Industrial, Multi-family and Institutional projects across Manitoba.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subtrades, and authorities, while leading client service initiatives including proposals and project planning.

Initiate scope and design coordination with consultants, lead integrated design meetings, and transition projects to the construction team with full documentation and planning input.

Manage the tendering process, negotiate and award subtrade contracts, and prepare cost sheets, budget modifications, permits, and purchase orders.

Stay current with product innovations, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and maintain accurate project records in construction management systems.

Proven experience in estimating or project management on commercial projects valued at $5M+. Degree or diploma in civil engineering technology, business, or design/drafting preferred, with strong math and analytical skills.

Skilled in preparing estimates and take-offs, with experience using tools like BlueBeam, Procore, Building Connected, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.

Strong interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders and subtrades, with a valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
