Project Coordinator – Data Centre of Excellence (CoE)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to support the establishment of a Data Centre of Excellence (CoE) as part of a major system modernization initiative. This program involves migrating critical historical data from legacy mainframe environments to modern cloud-native platforms within Microsoft Azure. The role is central to ensuring smooth coordination, governance, and execution of data migration and management activities.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the Secretariat for the Data CoE, supporting planning, reporting, and coordination activities.

Develop and maintain project documentation, including schedules, meeting materials, decisions, and action items.

Coordinate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

Support the governance of data migration efforts, including tracking progress, risks, and issues.

Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and status meetings to enable effective decision-making.

Assist in the documentation of data-related policies, standards, and procedures to support data governance.

Monitor deliverables against milestones and escalate risks or delays to leadership as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, or similar role in IT or data-focused initiatives.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

Familiarity with data governance, data quality, or data migration practices is an asset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams.

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

Additional Assets

Experience with large-scale system modernization or cloud migration projects.

Knowledge of legacy mainframe data environments and modern data architecture principles.

Understanding of Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including SQL, .NET, or data services.
