Hospice Volunteering provides irreplaceable help to those that are suffering from a terminal illness and their families. There is a wide variety of services that a volunteer can provide here are a few consider.
Social visits/Companionship
Play games
Watch movies
Write the persons life story for future generations of their family
Animal Therapy (if your animal qualifies)
Music (sing or play an instrument)
Art ( hand sculptures, paint or draw with patients)
Light housekeeping or yardwork
Respite sitting (stay with patient while caregiver takes a break)
Run errands
The ideas are endless here, and everyone has something to give.
To qualify to become a volunteer you must be able to pass a background check, complete provided training, and TB testing.
