Join Our Team as a CAD Engineering Intern!
Rambus is a leading chip and silicon IP provider, and we are on a mission to enable faster and safer data solutions. We are excited to welcome a talented CAD Engineering Intern to our Central CAD Team, working alongside some of the brightest minds in engineering.
As a CAD Engineering Intern, you will report directly to the Director of CAD, engaging in hands-on projects that involve the development of CAD tools, flows, and methodologies that support our global design teams. Our CAD team is spread across the US and India, providing essential support for the electronic design automation (EDA) software, infrastructure, design methodologies, and automation processes essential for cutting-edge product designs including memory interface chips and silicon IP.
At Rambus, we believe in a flexible work culture that embraces a hybrid model. We encourage you to work onsite for at least three days a week while enjoying two days of remote work.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and deployment of crucial software tools and utilities for advanced chip design and verification.
Develop and support automation utilities using languages such as Python, Skill, Tcl, and others to enhance productivity and optimize chip designs.
Engage in tasks focused on automating chip design workflows in areas like custom/analog circuit design, circuit simulation, and custom layout design.
What We’re Looking For:
You are an undergraduate (completed 3 years) or graduate student in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
You have strong software development experience and scripting skills in languages like Python (preferred), Perl, Tcl, C-Shell, and/or C++.
A basic understanding of semiconductor design and electronic design automation tools through coursework or project experience is advantageous.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including salary, bonuses, equity, matching 401(k), and comprehensive benefits. The hourly compensation for this role ranges from $29.79 to $55.32, based on skills, experience, and location.
