Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 11:45am – 3:45pm)

Working Weeks: Term Time Only – 36 Weeks

Salary: £9,735.68 per annum (£12.21 per hour)

We’re seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our catering team at Withington Girls’ School in Manchester. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a well-established school community while working in a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Operate the dishwasher and conveyor system to clean dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans

Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including pot washing and floor cleaning

Support the catering team with general kitchen duties

Ensure hygiene and safety standards are upheld at all times

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a similar role or within school catering is preferred but not essential

A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Good time management and attention to detail

Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment

This role is based at an independent girls’ school and requires an Enhanced DBS check.
