Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social science, public administration or related area Or equivalent work experience in one of the areas.
Extensive experience in working with housing and homeless programs required.
Experience with program management, group facilitation and public policy research and development.
Previous supervisory experience.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with experience dealing with many types of people at various levels.
Experience with troubleshooting general business and technology issues.
Manager, Community Investments
The Office of Housing Support within the Ohio Department of Development is presently hiring for a Manager of Community Investments to lead a team of dedicated individuals who share a passion for supporting Ohio communities in their mission to increase affordable housing.
What you’ll be doing
Lead and manage the Community Investments Section, including supervision of staff and program goal setting.
Oversee grant and loan programs\: application review, agreement issuance, compliance monitoring, and closeout.
Provide technical assistance, training, and guidance to staff, grantees, and community partners.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and programmatic regulations; oversee reporting and data systems.
Prepare, review, and submit state and federal reports and planning documents.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes; develop or adjust programs to align with state priorities.
Collaborate with other managers, divisions, and external stakeholders to coordinate housing support initiatives.
Represent the agency at meetings, conferences, and public presentations.
Serve as liaison to local governments, grantees, and external partners.
