Manage cost control processes: budget setup, cost forecasting, earned value analysis, and cost performance reporting.
Monitor and analyze project progress and variances; provide accurate status reports and performance metrics to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Establish and oversee robust change control and risk management procedures, including qualitative and quantitative risk analysis.
Support procurement and contract teams with schedule and cost input during tendering and negotiation phases.
Interface with project managers, engineers, clients, and external partners to ensure alignment on scope, time, and financial targets.
Lead and mentor a team of planners, cost engineers, and reporting analysts.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
8+ years of experience in project controls, with at least 3+ years in a lead or managerial role.
Proven experience in major energy or infrastructure projects (e.g., power generation, renewables, transmission, or utilities).
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
Strong command of Earned Value Management (EVM), risk analysis techniques, and project reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, EcoSys).
Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or other relevant contract frameworks.
Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage but not mandatory.
Preferred Attributes:
Certifications such as PMP, AACE CCP, or PRINCE2.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, especially in multinational environments.
Experience working in consultancy, EPC, or owner-side project delivery environments.
Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
