Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse 3 Estimated Start Date: October 6, 2025 Location: IL – Peoria (Onsite, full-time; covers all 11 facilities in Greater Peoria area) Schedule: Primarily 2nd and 3rd shift to cover requested days off for full-time staff.

Opportunities for 1st shift coverage when off-shift is not requested.

Job Purpose The Occupational Health Nurse 3 (OHN 3) is a highly skilled clinical nurse responsible for the delivery of occupational health services and clinic administration in client’s onsite medical facilities.

This position primarily provides coverage for 2nd and 3rd shifts, ensuring continuity of occupational health services, compliance with OSHA and corporate medical standards, and support for employee health and safety.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive occupational health nursing services including drug and alcohol testing, return-to-work evaluations, injury and illness care, medical surveillance testing, and fitness-for-duty assessments.Act autonomously in managing clinic operations and responding to employee health needs, including emergency response situations.Serve as a liaison with facility leadership, safety teams, and external medical providers.Support disability case management, injury investigations, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, ADA, EH&S).Conduct and document medical assessments, surveillance exams, and DOT testing.Provide wellness communication, support on-site health promotion programs, and contribute to emergency response planning.Maintain and update medical records through electronic medical record systems (e.g., Cority).Assist in adapting and implementing corporate medical policies at the facility level.Partner with safety and HR teams to support injury prevention, ergonomics, and employee well-being initiatives.

Required Education & Experience:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in occupational health nursing, acute care, or related fields.Strong background in phlebotomy, critical thinking, and nursing skills.Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, electronic medical records).Flexibility to work 2nd and 3rd shift schedules, with occasional 1st shift coverage.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.Certifications in occupational health nursing, case management, or related specialties.Experience with Cority or other online medical record databases.Knowledge of OSHA compliance, ADA, HR practices, ergonomics, EH&S, and health promotion programs.

Soft Skills:Effective verbal and written communication.Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work across nursing, leadership, and safety teams.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining confidentiality.Adaptable and flexible to changing shift schedules and priorities.

Disqualifiers:Inability to work off-shift hours.

Work EnvironmentOnsite, covering 11 facilities in Greater Peoria area.Regular interaction with nurses, facility leadership, and safety teams.Active involvement in occupational health service delivery, safety programs, and emergency response.
