APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Benton Harbor, MI looking to add a Material Handler to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to safely operate equipment to move and organize materials while keeping the work area clean and efficient. Keep reading for more details!

What’s in it for you:

1st and 3rd shift opportunity – 7am to 7:15pm or 7pm to 7:15am.

Rotating 3 and 4 day work weeks.

Week A: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Week B: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Contract-to-hire position - you'll be hired based on attendance, performance and client needs

Competitive hourly rate at $17.50/hr. + shift premium for nights

What your day will look like:

Safely and efficiently operate a forklift.

Perform pre-start checklists and daily vehicle maintenance checks (lubrication, fuel, etc.).

Load and unload materials by hand or with equipment; transport materials in approved containers.

Stack and organize baskets, bins, pallets, or containers in designated areas.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including general housekeeping tasks (sweeping, mopping, trash removal).

Conduct inventory cycle counts and assist with shipping/receiving as needed.

Attend required training, follow-up evaluations, and seminars to maintain skills and certifications.

Complete special assignments and other duties as directed by the supervisor.

What we are looking for:

1+ year of forklift experience; certification preferred

Valid Driver’s License

Proficient in maneuvering around tight spaces

Familiar with OSHA guidelines
