Assistant VP of Hospice:
Coverage Area: Franklin County & Surrounding Counties
Office Location: 800 Yard St. Suite 300 Columbus, OH 43212
Travel: Required + Milage Reimbursement ($0.48/Mile)
Job Summary:
Lead Operations & Quality Care
Oversee daily operations of in-home hospice services across Franklin County and surrounding areas.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care that meets regulatory and compliance standards.
Monitor clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction, and staff engagement to drive continuous improvement.
Drive Strategic Growth
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand hospice services into new counties and regions.
Develop scalable care models and staffing structures to support sustainable growth.
Collaborate with business development and referral teams to strengthen market presence and prepare for new service areas.
Support and Develop Teams
Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical directors, managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Foster a culture of compassion, accountability, and innovation.
Promote employee engagement and retention through coaching, training, and recognition.
Ensure Regulatory & Financial Excellence
Serve as a subject matter expert in CMS hospice regulations, survey readiness, and quality improvement.
Use data analytics to identify trends, address gaps, and implement evidence-based solutions.
Partner with finance teams to manage budgets, forecast needs, and ensure operational efficiency.
Engage Stakeholders & Build Partnerships
Cultivate relationships with healthcare systems, senior living communities, physician groups, and community organizations.
Act as a liaison with internal departments and external stakeholders to align initiatives and advocate for patient needs.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), master's degree in nursing, healthcare Administration, or related field preferred; associate degree in nursing (ADN) required.
Current RN license in good standing required.
3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospice care.
Proven success in service growth and team leadership.
Strong knowledge of CMS hospice regulations and quality standards.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and operational skills.
