Position: BIW/Upper & Lower Body - LEAD / Sr.
engineer Exp level 6-9 years CAD: Creo 10.0 Job Description: - Experienced in Design & Development of BIW Closures from the concept to mass production Design.
- 6 to 9 years of experience in designing automotive BIW components.
- Design Considering the Package, master sections, styling, vehicle regulation & performance.
- Experience in Door BIW Skin Feasibility check, Hinge axis fixing, Beam/Impact Member Layout fixing and Master sections Creation.
- Understanding of weld gun layout, weld point details, Layout Check sheet, Gas shock observer fixing point calculation.
- Experience in Door BIW 3D modeling (Front & Rear Door OTR PNL, INR PNL, Frame ASSY, hinge, latch REINF’s, OTR & INR rail, UPR MBR, FRT LID) - Experience in Upper body and underbody Feasibility check, Layout fixing and Master sections Creation - Experience in Roof, Fender, Quarter Panel, Body side Outer, Body Side Inner, Hood - Experience in Dashboard, Tunnel, Floor Panel, Cross member 1st and 2nd, Side Seal- (Front Floor). - DFMEA, PAA, TR, TI, RTS, DVP, other documentation processes.
- Design stage interactions with digital designers, package in charge, electronics teams, door mechanisms and other engineering teams.
- 3D,2D and 3DA experience, PLM, Kola, Windchill or other PLM experience in Catia V5/V6 or Creo.
- Understanding Basic CAE analysis and design calculations.
- OEM experience in Product Development with experience of complete life cycle.
- Good knowledge of Sheetmetal design.
- Communication with onsite and understanding the modification of design.
- Should Have Experience with Asian / Japanese Customer.
- Intermediate checking with cross functional team and check Module level.
- Need to understand the Design for Manufacturing (DFM & DFA). - Discussion with Onsite & customer and align Maturation with Project schedule.
- Knowledge of Product Quality, Product Finance, and cost.
- Experience in supplier selection based on complexity and tool cost.
- Good knowledge of Stamping process.
- Guide team on continuous quality improvement.
