Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)

Salary: Based on education and experience.

Your Role as a Principal

Supervision & Compliance: Oversees staff, daily operations, and adherence to school policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.

Curriculum & Student Placement: Collaborates with teachers on curriculum standards, student assessments, placement, and instructional improvement

Student Services & Support: Manages counseling, treatment planning, behavioral crisis response, and student guidance.

Operational Management: Ensures proper scheduling, transportation, facility maintenance, and availability of materials and supplies

Stakeholder Communication: Reports student progress to relevant parties and fosters professional relationships with students, parents, and agencies.

Staff Development & HR Liaison: Organizes training, supports recruitment, employee relations, and fosters a team environment.

Quality & Safety Oversight: Monitors service outcomes, ensures public health and safety, and protects instructional time from disruptions.

Required Qualifications:

Masters Degree.

Certification by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) with an endorsement in either special education or administration and supervision.

Valid Virginia Drivers License

Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff.

Active listening and emotional intelligence to support students needs.

Ability to foster a positive, professional school environment with patience and adaptability.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication.
