About the Role

Do you thrive on solving complex technical challenges and building reliable systems that people can count on? We're looking for a skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our team and ensure the stability, integrity, and efficiency of the systems that power our organization.

In this role, you'll monitor, maintain, and optimize critical IT infrastructure-ranging from servers and storage to cloud and security systems. You'll be entrusted with creating innovative solutions, documenting best practices, and troubleshooting issues before they become problems. Your expertise will directly impact the performance of our technology, helping our teams work smarter and serve our mission with excellence.

What You'll Do

As our IT Systems Engineer, you will:

Ensure the reliability and security of in-house systems, servers, and networks.

Administer and support DNS, SAN, VMware, AD, MS Exchange/O365, and security tools.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues with logical and creative problem-solving.

Propose and implement strategies to improve efficiency and system performance.

Perform system updates, backups, audits, and disaster recovery procedures.

Integrate servers and applications (database, email, print, backup, etc.) into enterprise systems.

Prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and flowcharts to guide teams and ensure best practices.

Track system performance and deliver clear reports and statistics to leadership.

Partner with IT teams, leadership, and vendors to support business goals.

Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support during emergencies when needed.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3-5 years of enterprise IT systems experience, including system design, development, and implementation.

Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, EMC, Citrix, or Symantec preferred.

Strong experience with:

Enterprise LAN/WAN administration & security

VMware products (ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, etc.)

Active Directory, Exchange/O365, DNS, SAN

Anti-virus, anti-spam, and PKI infrastructures

Proven knowledge of system planning, security principles, and data privacy practices.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive, preventative mindset.

Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to business and technical audiences.

Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.

Ability to manage tasks in high-pressure environments and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
