Summary:

Insurance Account Managers possess a high degree of product knowledge and technical expertise. Exercise judgment and act independently to provide account management to a high-volume book or complex or specialized accounts. Prioritize effectively and respond in optimal time frames while working in a fast-paced environment. Manage a significant volume of account activity while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and timeliness. Act independently to manage all aspects of complex house accounts. Demonstrate teamwork in the prospecting and production of new business and the retention of renewal business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain responsibility for self-management and development

Meet with supervisor to ensure alignment and gain agreement on goals and performance standards

Record updates on goal achievements as indicated throughout year

Represent Huntington Insurance as a product expert by staying current with industry changes, trends and opportunities.

Maintain and develop product knowledge through participation in educational opportunities

Act as a resource for continuous improvement initiatives

Comply with corporate and agency policies and procedures and all subsequent updates

Adhere to agency service standards and timelines

Utilize agency technology and software applications including agency management systems, document management systems and workflows

Comply with procedures as outlined in the Huntington Employee Handbook

Provide Customer Service to Agency Clients

Respond to internal and external service inquiries within optimal time frames

Take ownership to provide problem resolution and respond to customer inquiries in an optimal time frame as outlined in the agency procedures.

Coordinate and communicate client service needs, directing and assisting team members as needed

Prepare and review documents including bid bonds, performance and payment bonds, license bond, commercial bond other bonds as required

Provide guidance to other team members as needed

Monitor outstanding bond requests and address in established timeframes

Obtain necessary data from clients and carriers throughout the bond process

Deliver bonds within the established time frame

Participate in client appointments and meetings as requested

Collect and update client information throughout year

Participate in Agency Growth Initiatives

Identify account rounding and cross sell opportunities

Recognize referral opportunities and submit prospects as appropriate

Maintain and update client and bond data per agency procedures

Utilize agency management systems, workflow applications and diary systems to ensure timely service and follow up

Document correspondence, conversations and tasks in agency systems following agency procedures and workflows.

Serve as a technical, product and process resource as requested

Assist with colleague training as requested

Participate in corporate projects and initiatives

Assist with workflow development and implementation to support corporate initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Quality Assurance

Adhere to bank policies and procedures and comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain and follow effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled. Adhere to compliance requirements on an on-going basis. Maintain knowledge of risk-related changes that could impact assigned work functions and processes.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 3 years' experience in Insurance Industry focused on Property & Casualty.

Preferred Qualifications:

Abides by all state and federal regulations and Bank policies regarding business conduct

Property & Casualty License

Excellent Verbal and Written skills, including professional grammar and demeanor

Will exude enthusiasm and confidence in both internal and external relationships to the agency

Effective at multi-tasking

Proven track-record of meeting production goals
