Accounting Manager

Job Description

Our client is a growing technology organization seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. This role will support the Corporate Controller and assist in leading the accounting function. This individual will be instrumental in managing core accounting operations, supporting strategic initiatives including M&A, and driving financial insights through advanced modeling and analysis. This is a permanent opportunity based in Loudon County with a hybrid schedule (3/2).

Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day accounting operations and monthly close process.

Prepare complex journal entries and reconciliations, including tasks transitioned from the Corporate Controller.

Support development of financial models for valuations, deal mechanics, and strategic decision-making.

Support M&A activities including due diligence, integration planning, and financial impact analysis.

Provide guidance on US GAAP and international accounting standards, ensuring compliance across all reporting.

Assist with tax planning and compliance, including US and international tax considerations.

Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve financial issues and provide strategic accounting insights.

Mentor and support accounting staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Drive automation and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis using advanced Excel techniques.

Research and apply accounting theory to solve complex problems, even in unfamiliar scenarios.

Support audits, regulatory filings, and special projects as assigned by the Controller.
