About the Role:
The Pharmacist In Charge at ADS - Roseville, MI05, plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant operation of the pharmacy. This position is responsible for overseeing all pharmacy activities, including medication dispensing, regulatory compliance, and staff management, to deliver exceptional patient care. The Pharmacist In Charge ensures that all pharmacy practices adhere to state and federal laws, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role also involves collaborating with healthcare providers and patients to optimize medication therapy and improve health outcomes. Ultimately, the Pharmacist In Charge serves as the key decision-maker and representative of the pharmacy, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid and active Pharmacist license in the state of Michigan.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a licensed pharmacist.
Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a Pharmacist In Charge or in a similar leadership role.
Certification in immunization delivery or other specialized pharmacy services.
Familiarity with pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR).
Additional training or certification in medication therapy management (MTM).
Experience working in a retail or community pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily pharmacy operations to ensure efficient and accurate dispensing of medications.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to pharmacy practice.
Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy staff to maintain high standards of professional conduct and service.
Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain medication safety and inventory control.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide patient counseling and optimize medication therapy.
Maintain accurate records and documentation required for regulatory inspections and reporting.
Address and resolve any pharmacy-related issues or complaints promptly and effectively.
