MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure efficient and safe plant operations.

This role is crucial for minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. You'll work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, performing both planned preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.

Responsibilities:

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on various types of industrial machinery.

Performing scheduled maintenance tasks like lubrication, inspections, and part replacements to prevent breakdowns.

Assisting with the installation of new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality.

Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent on tasks.

Working with other maintenance personnel, supervisors, and production staff to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

Understanding the operation and maintenance requirements of specific types of machinery used in the facility.

Proficiently using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other tools necessary for maintenance and repair tasks.

Familiarity with various types of machinery, including die cast machines, hydraulics, and pneumatics, is often desired.

The ability to quickly identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working in various positions.

Setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining die cast machines, including die changes and adjustments.
