Basic Convenience Foods started in 1981 as a family-owned business manufacturing fry sauce. We have expanded our team and now produce various sauces, such as salad dressings, dipping sauces, and our signature fry sauce.

Bilingual a plus but not required

QUALIFICATIONS
3-4 years quality experience in food manufacturing
Must strive for Quality excellence, take pride in your work, and have a food safety mind set
High school diploma or GED preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills
This position requires a great deal of attention to detail with a very high level of work accuracy and the ability to stay on task with minimal supervision
Perform quality testing such as Bostwick Consistometer, Organoleptic, Aw, and pH
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime or when needed
Must be reliable, on time, and have reliable transportation
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with computers and have a basic understanding of Microsoft applications (word, excel, and power point)
Must be able to multitask with minimal supervision
Thoroughly complete assigned tasks and in a timely manner
Work well under pressure
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review Pre-Ops and line equipment daily for cleanliness, sign off when approved to start
Oversee designated production line(s) and product testing
Oversee mixing and clean room floors are kept clean and dry
Verify labels, best by dates, weight checks, ingredients, lot codes, brand names and other critical information is documented accurately
Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices are followed
Able to rotate work stations
Follow all Company policies and procedures, which include SOP's, Employee Handbook, Food Safety and Quality Procedures, Food Quality Policies, GMP's, HACCP, and Safety Procedures
Enforce and support all company Food Defense and Food Security policies and programs
Challenge preventive control and document if needed
Assist with any Quality Non-Conformances and needed investigations
Initiate HOLD procedure with accuracy
Daily inspection of plant ensuring ingredients, packaging material, and boxes are covered or inverted
Perform allergen testing when required
Review allergens for proper storage placement and/or color code identification
Assist with internal audits, quality issues, food safety issues
Report quality, food safety, or suspicious activities to supervisor
Ensure the proper packaging materials are used for each production run
Verify packaging material is removed after change overs
Perform other daily, weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly duties as directed
Assist in mock recalls
Perform other duties as assigned
Prepare Quality materials needed for the following production day

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience
