Retail Store Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily store operations and provide hands-on leadership to the team.

Train new employees and offer ongoing coaching to current staff.

Represent the company professionally — offering friendly, helpful service to every customer.

Assist shoppers with product questions and guide them through sales.

Meet weekly sales and productivity targets by employing suggestive selling and promoting special offers.

Record customer and sales information for follow-up and marketing initiatives.

Help manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and reduce shrinkage.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment at all times.

Stay up-to-date on our product range by attending training sessions.

Collaborate with management and coworkers to achieve team goals.

Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Deliver prompt responses to customer requests and messages and provide flexibility regarding scheduling, breaks, and overtime.

Supervisory Duties:

Directly supervise front line staff, ensuring company policies and legal standards are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret documents and explain procedures.

Confident in writing reports and corresponding with both employees and customers.

Competent in basic math, including discounts, commissions, and percentages.

Able to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and address routine issues quickly.

Committed to outstanding customer service that encourages repeat business.

High attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.

Familiarity with retail operations and terminology; 4-wheel/off-road product knowledge required.

Prior retail sales experience; automotive experience is a plus.

Able to work weekends regularly, maintain punctuality, and preserve confidentiality.

Physical Demands:

Stand for up to 5 hours without a break (up to 12 hours total per day).

Frequently walk, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 25 pounds, and operate store equipment.

Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, kneel, or carry up to 100 pounds for short distances.

Manual dexterity for handling products and tools; able to communicate and hear effectively.
