Medical assistant/Ophthalmic Technician/ Optician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate OphthalmicTechnician/Optician to join our exceptional eye care team.

Clinical (Ophthalmic Technician Duties):

• Take comprehensive patient histories and document medical records accurately.

• Perform preliminary vision tests, including visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception.

• Conduct diagnostic tests such as OCT, visual field testing, autorefraction and fundus photography.

• Administer eye drops or medications as directed by the physician.

. Instruct patients in contact lens wear

Optical (Optician Duties):

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that meet medical requirements and personal preferences.

• Take accurate optical measurements including PD, segment height, and lens specifications.

• Fit, adjust, and repair eyeglass frames.

• Provide guidance on lens types, coatings, and insurance coverage.

• Place eyewear orders and ensure timely delivery and quality control.

• Educate patients on eyewear care and usage.
